Privacy Policy

TIVI Network is built by Mann Robinson Studios LLC. This document tells you exactly what data we collect, how we use it, and what choices you have. Plain English. No tricks.

What we collect

Account information

• Email address, password (hashed via AWS Cognito), display name, avatar
• Country code (for geo-licensing), language preference
• Profile choices for "Who's Watching" — name, optional PIN

Viewing activity

• What you watched, where you stopped, what's in your "My List"
• Reactions or comments you post during "Pause to Discuss"
• Device type (iPhone, Roku, browser) and approximate location (country only)

Payment information

• We do not store your card number. Stripe (subscriptions on web), Apple, Google, and Roku store payment instruments under their own privacy policies
• We do store the transaction record — amount, plan, date

How we use it

• To run the service — sign you in, stream the right episodes, save your spot, take your subscription payment
• To improve the catalog — see which originals resonate, what you don't finish, what you skip
• To send essential email — receipts, password resets, premiere alerts you opted into
• Never sold to third parties. Not data brokers. Not ad networks. We don't run third-party ad tracking on the site.

Who we share with

Only the vendors that physically make TIVI work, and only the minimum they need:

• AWS (Amazon Web Services) — hosts video and the database
• Stripe / Apple / Google / Roku — process subscription payments
• Amazon SES — sends transactional email (receipts, alerts)
• Cognito — manages sign-in

Each vendor has its own privacy policy and security obligations.

Your choices

• Download a copy of your data from your account → privacy → export
• Delete your account from the same page. We hard-delete identifiable data within 30 days; aggregated/anonymized stats may persist
• Opt out of premiere alerts from account → notifications at any time
• California / GDPR rights — you can request access, correction, deletion, or portability. Email privacy@tivi.film

Children

TIVI is intended for grown folks 13+. Kids profiles use parental controls. We don't knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe we have, email privacy@tivi.film and we'll delete it.

Security

Passwords are hashed with bcrypt via AWS Cognito. Video URLs are time-limited signed CloudFront URLs (4-hour validity). Database connections are encrypted in transit. Master files in S3 are encrypted at rest. We follow industry-standard practices, but no system is bulletproof — be smart with your password and don't share it.

Changes to this policy

If we materially change this policy, we'll email you 30 days before the change takes effect. Minor wording fixes won't trigger that.
